Cape Town - Toyota remains top-seller of luxury *SUVs in South Africa, according to Naamsa sales figures for May 2017.
Toyota's Land Cruiser 200 (94 units) and Prado (76) grab the first and third most-sold spots respectively. These vehicles were separated by the ever-popular and desirable Range Rover Sport with 86 units sold.
Despite declining overall sales during first four months of the year, May 2017 sees the SUV market continue to grow.

Naamsa says: "Following the modest improvement in new vehicle sales during the first three months of 2017, the outlook for the balance of the year was somewhat uncertain.
"The current polarised political environment in SA, together with prospects of subdued economic growth over the short to medium term, continued to weigh on business confidence and consumer sentiment."
The luxury SUV market is an ever-increasing segment and despite the steep price of the majority of the cars in this segment, it remains a growing market.
