SPIELBERG, Austria - The Mercedes duo of Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton finished one-two in both practice sessions for the 2014 Austrian Grand Prix.

Hamilton was quickest during second practice while team mate Rosberg was fastest in the first session ahead of the 2014 Austrian GP on Sunday (June 22).

Mercedes is hoping to bounce back after the 2014 Canadian GP, the first race they did not win in 2014, as Rosberg was second and Hamilton failed to finish due to technical problems.

Ferrari's Fernando Alonso was third fastest at the Red Bull-owned circuit followed by Williams pair of Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa.

On the team's home track, four-time champion Sebastian Vettel came sixth, more than 1.4 seconds behind Hamilton, while Red Bull team mate Daniel Ricciardo posted the eighth fastest time.

Mercedes achieved a one-two finish in the first practice session, with Rosberg beating Hamilton by 0.140.

Rosberg leads Hamilton in the 2014 Drivers' championship 140 points to 118.

F1 returns to Austria for the first time since 2003.
