WATCH: Porsche debuts new Macan SUV in Shanghai

Porsche chose Shanghai to unveil its new Macan. It's a key model for China, where the previous generation accounted for around one-third of all sales for the brand.

Since 2014, Porsche has delivered more than 350 000 units across its entire model range, with the Macan accounting for more than 100 000 of those deliveries.

The qualities of design, comfort, connectivity and driving dynamics have all been improved - sticking true to the DNA of the brand.

Porsche reports that the Macan has garnered plenty of interest ever since its inception 4 years ago with the average buyer aged between 35 - 37.
