Footballers are some of the richest athletes on the planet. Best player in the world Lionel Messi is also the highest-paid in the world, receiving around $80-million per season.

It has become something of a prerequisite that if you're a celebrity or famous sports star, you have to own a Lamborghini or Ferrari.

Ordinary is better

But that is not always the case because there are a collection of footballers that aren't too bothered about what they drive because it serves as a means to an end and it costs a fraction of what a super car would.

Others really aren't too bothered about what they drive as long as it does the job of getting them from A to B. To give a bit more perspective, Chelsea FC midfielder N'Golo Kante can pay off his Mini Cooper in a mere 12-minutes and 58-seconds with the weekly wage he earns.
