Peugeot has a new addition to its 208 hatchback line-up with the addition of its budget-friendly Access 1.0 VTi. The new hatchback is priced below R150 000!
JOHANNESBURG, South Africa - Peugeot South Africa has a new addition to its 208 hatchback family – the two-door Access 1.0 VTi. The new hatchback retails for R147 500.
According to Peugeot: “The newcomer brings the 208 ownership experience within reach of a wider audience, while still offering buyers an overall exceptional motoring package.”
BUDGET-FRIENDLY PUG
The new hatchback is powered by a three-cylinder 999cc engine capable of 50kW/95Nm. Power is driven to the front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox. Fuel consumption is rated at 4.3 litres/100km.
The entry-level unit sports tweaks to the front including a new black honeycomb grille with aluminium surrounds.
Standard kit includes power front windows, central locking, Isofix child seat mounts and trip computer. In terms of safety, the 208 is equipped with anti-lock braking, electronic brake force distribution and dual front airbags.
The 208 Access 1.0 VTi is covered by a three-year or 100 000km warranty, as well as Peugeot’s Premium Plan - a five-year or 60 000km maintenance plan.
