Mercedes-Benz had an race to forget when both their drivers Lewis Hamilton and Valterri Bottas retired from the race due to issues with the car.

A twist in the tale

Many believes Hamilton would extend his position at the top of the championship with either a win or podium finish. Sadly, it was not to be.

1. Max Verstappen's first win of 2018

The Red Bull driver put in a dominant display at the Red Bull ring, using the retirement of both Mercedes drivers to his advantage.

While the bizarre retirement is something on its own, nothing can be taken away from the performance of the Dutchman.

The win was Verstappen's fourth career victory and a moment to savour.
