2013’s fastest F1 driver named

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton is the fastest driver so far in 2013. Although the Merc driver only achieved his first win of 2013 at the Hungarian GP, F1 correspondent Michael Schmidt revealed Hamilton’s average qualifying position so far is 2.36.

Red Bull’s 2013 championship leader Sebastian Vettel’s average grid position is 2.45, ahead of Hamilton’s team mate Nico Rosberg, at 4.00.

RELIABLE PACKAGES

The top driver in F1 is Vettel, with the Red Bull ace having held P1 position during GP's for a total of 1278km; Fernando Alonso has a mere 424km.

Lotus’ Kimi Raikkonen and Hamilton drive the most technically reliable packages of 2013 with 3022km without issues. The third most reliable car? Curiously, it's the uncompetitive McLaren driven by Jenson Button.

CRASH KING

The most crash, spin and incident-prone driver is Williams’ Pastor Maldonado, followed by Caterham’s rookie Giedo van der Garde.
Red Bull has the fastest pit crew while struggling Williams’ has the slowest.

Toro Rosso has had the most technical problems.
