FASTEST OPEN-TOP GOLF: The Volkswagen Golf R Cabriolet will be the fastest open-top Golf yet.
Volkswagen is gearing up to launch its next hot hatch and a cabriolet version was spotted at the Nürburgring. Check out the Golf R Cabriolet.
Designed to demonstrate the "inexhaustible potential of the Golf," the convertible will be distinguished by an assertive front fascia, aerodynamic side skirts and a centre-mounted dual exhaust system which is not mounted on this prototype yet.

Like the next Golf R, the cabriolet will include a sport-tuned suspension, a high-performance braking system and 19-inch alloy wheels.
Like the standard all-wheel-drive Golf R, power is provided by a turbocharged 2.0 litre engine that develops 200kW and 350 Nm of torque.
It enables the convertible to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in "less than six seconds" and reach a top speed of 250 km/h.
