ONE OF TWO: SsangYong's revised attack comprises freshened versions of the Actyon Sports double cab bakkie and the Korando SUV.

Two new SsangYong models have been launched in South Africa – the new Korando SUV and the Actyon Sports bakkie.

Mahindra SA recently announced it would now be responsible for the sales, servicing and marketing of SsangYong vehicles in southern Africa. There are 19 new SsangYong dealers in South Africa, the company said, and this number was expected to grow to 30 by the end of 2012.

CEO of Mahindra SA Ashok Thakur said of the vehicles: “I’m sure that customers in South Africa will find the Korando and Actyon Sports great value-for-money propositions.

MORE TO COME

“Both models have a fresh new look and (are) equipped with fuel efficient, powerful engines, making them ideal for outdoor leisure activities as well as city travel.

“We believe we will be able to meet our SsangYong sales forecasts with these two good-looking models and the additional products we are going to introduce in the near future,” Thakur concluded.

Korando and Actyon Sports models now come in a choice of petrol and turbodiesel engines with prices starting at R249 995 for the former, and R269 995 for the latter.
