BUDAPEST, Hungary - Pressure at Sunday's 2013 Hungarian GP will be on not only tyremaker Pirelli but also drivers trying to catch championship leader Sebastian Vettel.
While Vettel's rivals try to stop him extending his lead before the season heads into its mid-season summer break Pirelli is hoping its much-criticised tyres can withstand the melting heat expected through the weekend at the track just outside Budapest.
NEW TYRES
A week earlier the teams held in-season test sessions at Silverstone to assess new tyres provided by Pirelli after several spectacular blowouts on the same circuit as the 2013 British GP in June prompted a furious response and even a boycott threat by the drivers.
Defending Drivers' champion Vettel said: "We've asked for tyres that are safe... it's hard to know what to expect here."
