  • All 'Competition Bookings' are to be taken on a first come, first served basis. Once race field quantities have been filled, we will automatically close the book.
  • The entry fees are as follows:
    1. Private entry without corporate branding: R10 000 Ex VAT.
    2. Corporate entry. This is for any car with branding: R20 000 Ex VAT.

    A forty percent (40%) non-refundable deposit is required to secure your entry and number.

    Please ensure that when making a direct deposit, you state the reference as 'Fireball Run'. This will help facilitate the administration of the funds. The organisers' legal representative is Paul Carbonari.

    NB.

    Unless your deposit has been paid into the account, the organisers will not consider your application as valid. Once all 50 spots (with deposits) have been filled we will close the bookings, and no additional entries will be entertained.
  • The following numbers are to be sold at a R5 000 Ex VAT premium, and will also be allocated immediately upon request: One, Three, Seven, Ten, Eleven, Thirteen, Twenty, Twenty-one, Thirty, Forty, Fifty, Sixty. In 2005, the overall winner from 2004 will automatically be given Number One.
  • Included in the entry are the following:
    1. Luxury hotel accommodation at each destination (Based on a double room sharing).
    2. A cold beer waiting the moment you arrive at each hotel!
    3. Secure overnight parking.
    4. Breakfast each day.
    5. A picnic basket (Munchies) filled with catering and beverages for each days run.
    6. All evening meals with wine & mineral waters (not unlimited), at the Gala theme evenings at various casinos.
    7. VIP entrance to party nights.
    8. Fully detailed route books compiled from the pre-driven selected routes.
    9. Official Fireball Run 2004 car decals and door numbers for your car.
    10. Participation at all National race circuits throughout the route.
    11. A shot at the title, trophy and free entry into next years' event.
    12. Free entry into the 'Auto Africa' automotive showcase in Johannesburg, where we are to host a 'Concourse de Elegance'.
    13. Final night gala and awards ceremony at Sun City.
    14. Special souvenir gifts for all Fireball Run 2004 participants.
    15. Two by fully equipped ICU Ambulance units, throughout the run. One in front of the pack, and one behind.
    16. Two by fully equipped rescue and life support units. One in front of the pack, and one behind.
    17. Road freighting of all luggage between race points and destinations. This does not include the arrival or departure from the event, but is merely there to assist the crews, and lessen their daily burdens.
    18. Services of the Fireball Run 2004 Organising Committee Event Managers, Checkpoint Crews, Photographers and Film Crews.
    19. Participation of all traffic officers, SAPS officers, and the Department of Transport.
  • The above fee will not include the following:
    1. Petrol, oil, tyres, and Race Car repairs.
    2. Toll payments (We are currently negotiating a card system for all to use, thereby cancelling the fees).
    3. Personal and Race Car insurances.
    4. Medical insurance.
    5. Incidental expenses.
  • Driver and navigator are to separately complete the attached form, in full.
  • Entry fees are only paid once, but any given racing team may wish to alternate drivers during the course of the event. This is extremely important! If we are to implement our 'Fireball Run 2004' with the utmost of confidence and level of professionalism, in keeping with all the expectations, this painful chore will have to be attended to.
  • The drivers and owner of the Race Car iare not required to submit the details of their race partner at this stage of planning, but will be requested to provide these details by no later than Thursday September 30 2004.
  • The sharing of hotel rooms is imperative, unless prior arrangements and additional bookings have been made. The organisers are currently negotiating extremely favourable rates.
  • Please refer to the rules and regulations which applied to the 'Lap of the South' run, under the direction of Jamie Vilela. They can be found at Lap of the South

    There are three classes in which to position an entry.

    They are:

    • Modified - Specialist.
    • Professional or unprofessional contestants, driving modified production cars. If this group of drivers enter into this class, we will automatically assume that they are seasoned drivers, and will therefore not introduce an additional 'Executive' class, as well.
  • Original OE Class - Executive.
  • Professional business people who own high-powered sports cars, in original OE condition, but are without racing or competition experience.
  • Original OE Class - Specialist.
  • Professional drivers with prior racing experience, driving cars in original OE condition.
