Top Gear's Chris Harris finds out if it lives up to its heritage and is it really necessary?
Harris take the reigns of the Pista at the marque's famed Fiorano race track and asks the question: "what do you with a 536kW 488, because the normal car's already got so much power it bends your face."
Harris laps the Pista and then does some country road driving in the beautiful town of Maranello.
