The world was introduced to the Bugatti Chiron at the 2016 Geneva motor show.
Back then its outrageous performance figures defied logic: 0 to 100km/h in less than 2.5 seconds, four huge turbochargers and a total power output of 1119kW/1600Nm!
Quad-turbo W16 engine
Its power is generated from a 8-litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine from the Veyron has been completely redesigned, propelling the new hypercar to limited top speed of 420km/h for 'road use'. To keep it on the black stuff it's tyres have been specially developed courtesy of a Bugatti-Michelin partnership.
Now a video uploaded by 'Johnny Bohmer Proving Grounds' shows just how fast the Chiron can reach over a distance of 4.3km in a straight line aerodynamic test on Merritt Island, Florida.
