Cape actor Thabang Sidloyi, who eventually died of his injuries, is seen flung from a BMW which is clearly speeding. A white vehicle is seen in the far left lane when the BMW attempts to cut in front of the silver Kia Picanto in the centre lane. The driver of the BMW clips the Picanto, loses control and crashes into the road-side barrier.According to IOL, two of the other passengers sustained minor injuries, one escaped unharmed while the other is still recovering in Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town.
The video was posted by YouTube user Alex Williamson who had filmed the incident via a dashcam. Williamson was driving in the right lane before the incident took place. WARNING: graphic footage.
