From the company that brings you the Playstation gaming system and hi-definition Bravia TV's, they are now dipping their foot in electric mobility.
Upon first glance the Vision-S looks similar to that of a Tesla and with it, they will demonstrate the contribution it intends to make to realise a highly advanced autonomous driving society.
Sony on the road
According to Sony, the sedan features a total of 33 sensors in order to detect and recognise people and objects inside and outside the car. Digital comfort is the algorithm here as the front seats face a panoramic screen while passengers can make use of an intuitive user interface.

An innovative new "Safety Cocoon" represents a safe-zone concept in which supports vehicle safety in various daily driving situations by detecting 360 degrees around the vehicle.

Some of the vehicle's other features include Solid State LiDAR which uses highly accurate distance measurement to gain a precise 3D grasp of real-life spaces, Sensor fusion technology which merges the capabilities of sensors of varied attributes to enable early and accurate recognition and Time-of-Flight (ToF) in-cabin sensing solutions use distance measurement technology to detect and recognize people and objects inside the car.
There has been no mention of mechanical specifications and power figures.
