Porsche has revealed a striking new concept car for its 70th anniversary of sportscar production - the 911 Speedster Concept.

The 911 heritage
The unique model draws inspiration from the very first Porsche 356 ‘No. 1’ Roadster in 1948.

Gone are the luxuries and technology normally found in a Porsche. Everything from the Satnav, air con and radio have been scrapped in a bid to save weight.
The 911 is made lighter with the fitment of carbon-fibre seats as well as lightweight panels.

Forward momentum comes in the form of a flat-six engine that produces over 372kW (500bhp), while the number '70' adds a bit of exclusivity.
You get the feeling that there is still more to come from Porsche - more cars and more power.
