For decades, the Volkswagen Golf set the pace in the compact class. The 8th generation comes with full digital integration, car to car networking and smartphone control. But could it be the last new version Volkswagen ever produces?
The latest Golf will arrive in South Africa in late 2020, with VW's local arm announcing that the GTi model will be introduced first, followed by a TSi model, and finally the flagship derivative.
VW South Africa says the local range will be available with the new Harmon Kardon sound system, Digital and Innovision cockpit infotainment systems, IQ drive and IQ light. Some of these items are optional extras.
