The new Hyundai Kona, a premium SUV, will launch locally later in October and we have prices for the two model line-up.
The entry-level Kona is powered by a 1.0-litre turbocharged engine and will cost R379 000. Power figures for the three-cylinder forced induction powertrain are 88kW and 172Nm.
Launch imminent
The flagship model is powered by a 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine wiith 110kW and 180Nm, it will cost R399 900 when its launched in the middle of October.
Both models are front wheel drive, the entry level model uses a six-speed manual gearbox while the flagship employs a 6-speed automatic.
Expect features like LED daytime driving lights, blind-spot warning and park distance control with a camera to make parking easier.
Inside, Hyundai says both models are fitted with AUX and USB connections as standard and are fitted with four speakers. AppleCarplay will be available too.
A five year or 90 00km service plan is standard with a five year or 150 000km warranty offered also included. Wheels24 will be at the launch later this month, look out for our driving impression on the new Kona.
