Hot on the heels of the M8 Coupe and Convertible world launch, BMW has released details of its M8 Gran Coupe Competition.
Power is derived from the familiar 4.4-litre turbocharged V8 engine with 460kW and 750Nm in Competition form. All that power is channeled through an eight-speed M transmission to all four wheels linked to an active M differential.
The high-performance four-door coupe will arrive in South Africa during the first quarter of 2020.

What can you expect from the latest M8 Gran Coupe?
A sports exhaust system is fitted with electronically controlled flaps to amplify the V8 engine's noise. There are a choice of three modes for, four-wheel drive, four-wheel drive Sport and traditional (for BMW) pure rear-wheel drive and deactivated driving stability control (if you're brave enough).
Performance figures are 0-100km/h in 3.3 seconds for the 'regular' M8 and 3.2 seconds for the Competition model.

The M8 Gran Coupe and Competition models will make their world premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show 2019, market introduction from April 2020; BMW will offer an M8 Gran Coupe First Edition offered as an exclusive launch model.
