The Toyota Hilux was the top-selling bakkie in South Africa during the second month of the year.
The Hilux, SA's favourite vehicle in 2019, sold 2895 units in February, more than a thousand units clear of the second-placed Ford Ranger (1878 units).
The Isuzu D-Max bested the Nissan NP200 to third place, toppling the half-tonner 1333 units to 1167 units. The Nissan NP300 managed a sales figure of 737 units.
In sixth place is the Mahindra Pik Up on 327 units, ahead of the Toyota Land Cruiser Pick-up (218 units), and Volkswagen Amarok (176 units).
The GWM Steed (156 units) and Nissan Navara (125 units) complete the top ten.
Naamsa commented: "Domestic sales of new light commercial vehicles, bakkies and mini-buses at 11 625 units during February 2020 had recorded a substantial decline of 2 497 units or a fall of 17.7% from the 14 122 light commercial vehicles sold during the corresponding month last year."
