Newly appointed Cameroon boss Marc Brys has now fired a firm warning at the country's FA president Samuel Eto'o following a controversial start to his job.
The Belgian tactician is understood to have been appointed to the role by the country's ministry of sports, but the former Barcelona striker does not approve of the decision to hire him.

Eto'o feels the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT) was wrongly left out of the recruitment process, and has therefore refused to sign off on the appointment, according to Le Monde.
It is also said that he had considered assigning the role to a different candidate.
Brys, meanwhile, had previously declared himself to be "ready to work with the federation and its president, in the interest of the selection and the country".
Despite not having the former striker's seal of approval, the 61-year-old manager has once again stated that he is willing to speak to the federation chief, but warned that he has other important matters that requires his attention.

"I'm not the type to chase people, because I have to concentrate on the team and the players for the next matches," Brys said.
"I am open to discussion, attentive, positive, but the locker room is the place of the coach, his technical staff and the players, and into which neither the sports ministry nor FECAFOOT enter."
The former Belgian Pro League boss, whose controversial appointment took place last month, also confirmed that he does have a contract with the national side, one that will reportedly see him earn €40 000 (about R796 000) a month and is covered by the state.
He went on to open up on his reasons for taking the job and his plans for the future of football in the country.
"I no longer wanted to coach in Belgium, I wanted to experience something else ,” Brys added.
"I will spend time in Cameroon to talk with local coaches, follow championship matches and observe the youth selections, because the future is being prepared now."

Brys replaced Rigobert Song, who parted ways with the side after an underwhelming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations campaign that saw the Indomitable Lions win just one of their three group-stage matches before they were dumped out of the competition by Nigeria in the round of 16.
