We've created an infographic illustrating the cheapest fuel prices around the world.

The average value for South Africa during this period was R13.50 with a minimum of R13.42 on 7th of January 2019 and a maximum of R16.79 on the 29th of October 2018. For comparison, the average price of petrol in the world during this period is R20.60.

Countries, particularly those exporting crude oil, the government uses oil revenue to subsidise retail fuel prices.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro stated that his country's fuel price would be increased in-line with world market prices, however Venezuelan motorists are still enjoying the cheapest fuel in the world.
