BANTU Holomisa hopes their prayers will be answered.
Mzansi held a National Day of Prayer for the upcoming 2024 general elections at Grace Bible Church in Pimville, Soweto, on Sunday, 5 May.
Various political and church leaders from across the country participated in the prayer session organised by the South African Council of Churches under the leadership of Bishop Mosa Sono.
Zinhle Thwala and Bahumi Mhlongo led the prayer, which was organised under the theme “Our Nation, Our Responsibility”.
Holomisa spoke after the prayer service about his thoughts on the service and hopes for the upcoming elections on 29 May.
The UDM leader said they hope God answers their prayer for the elections to be peaceful.

However, the Eastern Cape-born leader expressed concern about the sincerity of the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC).
Holomisa said the governing party has a mandate to stand up for the promises it made to the nation. He said some of the leaders have honoured their promises.
"Some of us have stood up for the fight against corruption. That's the reason I accepted the invitation to run for premier in the Eastern Cape to clean up that province," he said.
