There was a diverse array of motor vehicles ranging from brand new 4x4s and high powered continental sports cars, through to gleaming hot rods and racing cars.
In addition a number of new sedans and commercials were launched to the public, while the majority of motor manufacturers had franchise dealers displaying their extended range of new petrol and diesel vehicles.
