Wheels24 reader Lindokuhle Ndlovu shares his experience of being hijacked/mugged at an intersection in during peak-hour traffic.
Ndlovu: Yesterday (May 10, 2016), around 6pm at the corner of Abel Rd/Joe Slovo in Berea, a guy approached the car I was driving in with a cocked gun.
He threatened to shoot if I did not open the door or window.

There was traffic around, which made my movement to manoeuvre or to get away very difficult if not impossible. I panicked so much I couldn’t open the window or door, as I was not familiar with the car I was driving.

I managed to open a window and the only thing they took was a Samsung Note 3. Just before he fled the scene the robber hit me with his gun.
It would be great if warnings could be posted at hijacking hot-spots to warn motorists of any and all impending dangers.
