ToastMasters International is known to most people as an organisation whose goal is to teach and promote Public Speaking and Leadership skills through structured, well established programmes. What most people don’t know, is that ToastMasters also has a Youth Leadership programme aimed at high school pupils.

With ToastMasters clubs spread throughout the world and over 300 clubs in Southern Africa, Dainfern Estate is now the home of 2 separate clubs: the Dainfern Tigers and Dainfern Diamonds, a club specifically for advanced members.

However, the old adage that all work and no play make Jack a dull boy, is possibly the unknown side to being a ToastMaster.  Networking and socialising are also vital parts of life, and certainly add to the fun aspect of taking part.

On Sunday 8th April, Dainfern Diamonds invites you to join in the fun side, to come along and meet us on a very special event aimed at providing family fun with a strong social aspect.  All you need is a car, as many family members you can legally transport, together with your sense of fun and adventure.

The event will take the form of a car rally with a difference. Sorry but no racing along dirt roads and drifting around corners, not even spectacularly flying over humps in the road. This rally involves a treasure hunt concept and will simply require you to find the clues on your way to the finishing point.

There is no starting point

Simply leave from your home, find the clues along the way then meet us at the finish at WiseCrax Restaurant and Pub in Centurion by not later than 3pm.

Show the organisers the five photos you would have taken of the clues along the way and you will qualify to enter the draw for some fantastic prizes. It really is as simple as that. Clues and the full details of the route will be sent to you by WhatsApp on the day.

WiseCrax have promised great fun at the venue with many specials for our participants including live entertainment as.  For the petrolheads among us, there are going to be some special cars on the ride, as well as on display at the finish.  The local Jaguar and Street Rod clubs are joining in the venture and have promised that some special cars will be there for you to see.  There will be a few more special cars along for the ride too.

The entry fee of R200 per car and your answers to the treasure hunt will put you into the prize draw, but the experience and opportunity to chat to members of Dainfern Diamonds ToastMasters Club could be your opportunity to open new doors in your life.

For more details and to confirm your entry contact either Barbara Bruhwiler (President of Dainfern Diamonds) on 083 700 9026 or Alan Rosenmeyer (Exco Member) on 083 296 0470. If you cannot join us on 8th April but would like more details about the benefits of joining ToastMasters, give us a call.
