The Chev driver attempted a risky overtaking manoeuvre which could have been fatal to Oosthuizen and his family.

Since then, many users shared shocking videos and stories of reckless behaviour on SA's roads captured on dash-cams.

Primilla Deonath sent in this dash-cam clip of a truck driver smashing into her on a merging highway ramp in Merebank, Durban in 2014. The incident seems to be deliberate and the truck driver is seen driving off without stopping. The truck company was contacted but denied any wrong-doing, claiming that the driver was one of "his best drivers".
