Cape Town - In 1993, a 15-year-old petrolhead Calvin Fisher dipped into the classified section and swapped his classic Mk1 Mini Cooper 1100 for an IBM compatible desktop computer with a black and white monitor and a 20mb hard drive.
Sacrilege? Maybe.
But now, 23 years later he's the editor of TopCar Magazine with access to just about any car he likes, and now finds himself at the wheel of yet another green Mini Cooper, his next long term test car.
This one's a metallic mint Convertible, has a turbocharged three cylinder engine and about three times as much power as Calvin's original avocado hued Mk1.
What hasn't changed is its go-kart alike handling and plucky spirit.
