If you’re like me and answer “95 Unleaded” when asked for your blood type, you’ll surely agree that there are few things that sooth the soul like the sound of a Ferrari accelerating down a straight road.

Armed with my trusted camera, I recently had the privilege of conducting an exclusive feature on the men, women and machines that make up the Southern Equatorial Ferrari Automobile Club.

FOUR HOURS OF FUN

Held at the Killarney track, the club event provided owners an opportunity to unleash their cars for the purpose they were created - the thrill of speed.

For four hours there were no traffic lights, no speed cameras and no e-tolls – just the brotherhood of man living the spirit and passion of the black ‘Prancing Horse’ that unites them.

The cars on the 37-degree Celcius scorching track included F430 and FF models and there was a classic, yet beautiful, 328 GTS as the track proved the perfect playground for those who can live their dreams.
