New York - It's arguably the most iconic sports car... and if you ask anyone who has driven one probably the best handling car money can buy. But have you ever wondered why the Porsche 911 has its engine located in the rear?

Thankfully the excellentYoutube channel Engineering Explained gives us the technical lowdown.

Engineering Explained said: "When your sitting at the drawing board, one of the most critical decisions you'll make in designing a vehicle is where you place the engine.
