The Honda Civic Type R, Renault Megane RS, and Hyundai i30N are the latest protagonists in the hot hatch saga.
The Type R and the i30N both possess a six-speed manual gearbox, while the Megane RS uses a dual-clutch setup.
On paper, the hot hatch from Japan should win a drag race between the three, it's the lightest and the most powerful (228kW and 400Nm). 0-100km/h is a claimed 5.8 seconds.
Can the Hyundai use its launch control system to power off the line and gain an early advantage or will the French Megane RS with 205kW and 390Nm pose a threat?
