WATCH | Top Gear's Stig is struggling under lockdown conditions

The term 'social distancing' has become the norm as most of the world's population practices maintaining a physical distance with each other to reduce the number of times we come into close contact with others. 

The United Kingdom is also under similar lockdown restrictions to South Africa and the team from the BBC's Top Gear popped over to see the show's faceless racing driver, Stig, is coping on his own.

For those of you who don't know, some say the Stig's white racing suit protects him from the coronavirus, but he isn't taking any chances. 

Stay home

After waking up and having a shower, the Stig has some breakfast before settling in the lounge. But he quickly gets bored. 

Stig then moves outdoors to his race track in the garden, but that activity doesn't last long either. Poor Stig!

Season 28 of the world's most popular motoring television show features well-known car journalist Chris Harris joined by former English cricketer Andrew Flintoff and TV personality Paddy McGuinness. 

The trio has good chemistry, and in usual Top Gear fashion, there are fresh challenges, fantastic road trips and exciting track tests of some of the world's most exclusive performance cars. 

Top Gear airs Thursday's on BBC Brit, channel 120 on DSTV at 20:00. And don't forget to wash your hands.
