In Bafoussam, in western Cameroon, young mechanic Cédric Simen shows off his latest creation: an off-road vehicle made from recovered and recycled parts.

His atypical "made in Cameroon" car tends to get a surprised reaction from local residents.

Cedric Simen's little blue car is an eye-catching creation that often defies disbelief. He left school when he was only 11 years old but then started to learn about mechanics in his uncle's workshop.

The vast majority of cars in Western Cameroon are used vehicles, so it's no wonder that Simen's car has sparked so much interest.
