Car lovers from around the world splashed out more than $27 million at an auction for dozens of luxury cars seized from the son of Equatorial Guinea's president.
UK based auction house Bonhams sold 25 lots, with the vast plethora of luxury cars including a Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, one of only 9 ever produced, and also the uber-venerable Ferrari Enzo.
Seized goods
Each of the supercars at the auction were seized goods once owned by the son of the Equatorial Guinea's president, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue.
According to Forbes, numerous other assets were seized as part of a now closed investigation by Swiss officials dating back to 2016 that includes charges of the misuse of public funds and money laundering.
