The trucking industry is a male dominated industry but a Canadian woman is changing perceptions of big-rig drivers.

Long-haul truck driver Vivianne Carbonneau is not afraid to get behind the wheel of a massive vehicle and transport large cargo and says she likes the job's 'alone time'.

More female drivers needed

Carbonneau notes that things sometimes aren't as straight-forward as driving to and from destinations.

People often doubt her ability while others give her encouragement like a simple thumbs up.
