The word Quattro is synonymous with Audi - the brand's famed all-wheel-drive system.
As the video from Donut Media explains, the all-wheel drive system was inspired by military vehicles and designed to take the German brand's coupes and sedans where they had never gone before - off road.
A modern trademark
The system has built the (literal) foundation for old and modern performance cars, most notably in 1998 with the venerable Audi Quattro where it competed in numerous rally championships.

Manufacturers each have their own all-wheel drive systems with VW and 4Motion while Nissan performance cars feature the ATTESA system.
