WATCH: Driver survives plunging SUV off a huge cliff only to be stranded days along a beach

An Oregon woman survived a 72m plunge down a cliff and was left stranded for seven days. She reportedly survived by drinking water from the rocks through a car hose.

According to CBS This Morning, the woman, 23-year-old Angela Hernandez, swerved to avoid an animal in the road and went down the rocky cliff.

Lucky to be alive

According to Hernandez, she remembers getting out of the car and wondering the beach in search of help but to no avail. When she became dehydrated she resorted to using the car's hose to consume water.

According to the report on CBS This Morning, she suffered extensive injuries including a brain hemorrhage and fractured ribs. 

She was then found by two hikers who alerted rescuers where she was lifted to safety.
