#TBT: Chris Harris and the 'Holy Trinity'

accreditation

It was the test we had all been waiting for... Porsche, Ferrari and McLaren had pushed the boundaries of what a road-going performance car could do with their 918, Le Ferrari and P1 hypercars.

But which was the best? And who would be the journalist to get the so-called 'holy trinity' together to test?

A new era of performance cars

That lucky bugger was Chris Harris, who is now a presenter on the popular BBC motoring show Top Gear. Harris actually beat his future employers to testing the trio.

Harris is joined by former racing driver and TV presenter Tiff Needell and racing driver Marino Franchitti at the Portimao race track in Portugal.

Just for the record, the power figures are: P1 - 673kW, La Ferrari - 708kW and 918 - 661kW.

The video's caption reads: "All three hypercars at the wonderful Portimao circuit. Each of them from the respective factories. Lap times, sliding around, smiling and then a track-battle with the legends Tiff Needell and Marino Franchitti. The very best of days."
