South Africa - All petrolheads would agree that supercars are the realm of their passion. In a nutshell, when a new supercar is launched, petrolheads get excited in the same way football fans are when the latest transfer deal pulls through.

That excitement, however, can be short lived as we list some of the least spoken about supercars today that might have been the talk of the town at the time of their release.

Glittering list

Although iconic at the time, the SLR which was in production from 2003 to 2010, held the title for the fastest automatic car in the world.

With Modern day cars breaking barriers in that regard, the SLR is almost no longer spoken about in the same breath as a benchmark supercar.

The list includes the Ferrari Enzo, Noble M600 and the mercurial Porsche Carrera GT. Check it out!

4.  Noble M600

3. Ferrari Enzo

2. Porsche Carrera GT

1. Mercedes McLaren SLR
