• Audi RS is the carmaker's high-performance arm.

• Quattro, Audi's four-wheel drive system, is used across all RS models.

• Check out the latest RS7 Sportback take on the RS4 Avant in a drag race.

You'll have to wait and see which RS-badged model is left battered in this drag race.

Ingolstadt's finest line up in the form the Audi RS4 Avant and the new RS7 Sportback. Both models have four-wheel drive, eight-speed automatic transmission and launch control.

In the power stakes, the RS4 uses a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 engine with 331kW and 600Nm, while the four-door coupe is powered by a 4.0-litre, twin turbocharged V8 engine with power figures of 441KW and 800Nm.

Slap that power onto its famed Quattro all-wheel-drive system and you have a 0-100km/h acceleration of 3.6-seconds. The RS4's claimed 0-100km/h sprint time is 4.1 seconds.

The RS7 is more powerful and faster but loses out to its smaller sibling on the scale. It weighs more, at 2065kg in comparison to the RS4's 1750kg.

The question is will the additional 110kW and 200Nm be sufficient for the RS7 to pummel the RS4 in this drag race. Watch the clip below to find out:

Carwow says: "It's time for an Audi head-to-head! So you might all expect the RS7 to storm to a resounding victory, thanks to the fact it's packing a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 under the bonnet. But even though the RS4 may only have a 2.9-litre V6, will its lighter weight give it an advantage?"
