We've had fantastic feedback since launching the 'guess the car' series a few weeks ago. We love how engaging our readers are and would like to thank everyone who mailed us their answers.

We started with an easy one, and most people answered correctly that it is the Audi R8 V10. The dry-sump 5.2-litre engine is shared with the Lamborghini Huracan, and in the four-ringed supercar it produces 449kW, sans turbocharging. It redlines at 8500 r/min.

Read our R8 road test here.

The second instalment was a little trickier as it's a car that's for the most part flown under the radar. So, if you answered with the Toyota GT86 you were bang on the money.

The GT86 is one of the few performance cars powered by a relatively small engine devoid of forced induction, the other notable example is the Mazda MX-5.

The Toyota does use a recipe that features on page one of the petrolheads textbook, it is rear-wheel drive, front-engine and has a manual gearbox.

Power is derived from a 2.0-litre Boxer engine delivering 147kW/205Nm, via a close-ratio six-speed gearbox delivering drive to a Limited Slip Differential (LSD) equipped rear transaxle. Perfect!

And that brings us nicely to this week's 'Guess the Car' episode, listen to the clip below and mail us your answer here
