Another week and we've got another drag race to get you excited. This time the BMW M8 Competition takes on a tuned Nissan GT-R and Ferrari's V12-powered GTC4 Lusso. Let the games begin.
In case you're not aware, the M8 Competition is powered by the same engine found in the M5 and produces 460kW and 750Nm from its 4.4-litre V8 twin-turbo engine, the carmaker's most powerful engine to date.
Up against the BMW are two more four-wheel drive high-performance two door coupes. From Italy, there's the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso which has a significant link to the number four: it has four wrap-around seats, four-wheel drive and four-wheel steering.
All the wheels are driven by the GTC4Lusso's 12-cylinder 6262cc engine capable of 507kW/697Nm. That results in a 0-100km/h sprint time of a claimed 3.4 seconds, and a top speed of 335km/h.
The final car in the trio is a tuned R35 GT-R, a dark horse, because this Nissan is ludicrously quick in standard guise, so who knows what some tweaking to it may have uncovered.
Like the others it has a blown engine, this time a twin-turbo V6. Can it beat its more illustrious competitors? There's only one way to find out... bring on the race!
Carwow says: "The BMW M8 Competition is BACK, and this might be its toughest test yet! The most powerful BMW M to date, with its twin-turbo V8, is going up against the ludicrously powerful 6.3-litre V12 Ferrari GTC4 Lusso!"
"And not only that, there's a tuned Nissan GT-R joining them on the start line, too! They all pump out a similar amount of power, but will the newer M8 snatch the win?"
