The V8 is available in two versions: the 340kW GT and more powerful 375kW GT S. Mercedes says its GT is at home on the race track but can also be a comfortable cruiser as it has a large, rear luggage compartment for use on cross-country trips.
MODERN SPORTS CAR
The GT has all the hallmarks of a modern sports car; aluminum space frame, V8 bi-turbo engine, seven-speed dual clutch transmission, locking differential, sports suspension with aluminum double-wishbone suspension and weighs 1540kg.
Fuel consumption is rated at 9.3-litres/100km.
A long bonnet with dual powerdomes dominate the front, while a broad rear adds to its sleek design. It has a three-dimensional diamond radiator grille, central Mercedes star (no badge), AMG badging and LEDs.
