Having celebrated its silver anniversary in 2006, WHEELS kicks off its second quarter century with a slightly different look for the cover, a more modern layout design and - for the first time ever - a great competition for its readers. However, the publication still boasts all the qualities that have endeared it to its loyal readers since the first edition appeared in 1982.
Its 304 full-colour glossy pages contain 85 interesting and informative articles written by the cream of local motoring journalists. Complementing these are well over 500 full-colour photographs which brilliantly illustrate the goings-on in the world of motoring and motorsport, not only locally but also abroad.
Subjects covered in the latest edition of WHEELS range from the local Car of the Year competition to the end of an era in F1, from a look at the most important international motor shows to technological advances, safety issues and new models. In between there is brand-specific news and forecasts for the future, while visits to various locations lend a lifestyle-oriented flavour to the publication. There are also interesting articles on topics such as the latest in GPS technology, motorcycles and lubricants. As always the World Rally Championship as well as local track, rallying and off-road action is also covered. Rounding off the publication is a listing of the season's major local motorsport results.
