For many years, Land Rover has been making use of Goodyear tyres on its vehicles. This partnership will continue with the all-new Defender, which was officially launched in South Africa in July 2020.

On its part, Goodyear will supply two types of 4x4 tyres for the new Defender. The Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure tyre is available in 18-, 19-, and 20-inch wheels, and, according to Goodyear, "allows drivers of the new Land Rover Defender to enjoy a very high level of ride comfort, and at the same time leave the road at any time and face off-road tracks with absolute confidence."

This tyre's carcass has been reinforced to prevent punctures and perforations when off-roading. The shoulders of the tyre have also been strengthened for use over overtly rocky areas. Goodyear says that this tyre will achieve 37% more mileage than the average of its competitors.

If you want your Defender to venture into further into the unknown, Goodyear offers its Wrangler DuraTrac tyre - in the same wheel sizes as the All-Terrain tyre. The tyre maker says that this tyre incorporates its 'TractiveGroove' technology, which ensures optimal traction on difficult surfaces such as mud or snow.
