Land Rover drivers are at it again, this time in an attempt to break a Guinness World Record – and you can help!
An attempt will be made on March 3 and 4, 2012, to set a new record for the most Land Rovers in a convoy. The current record stands at 348 vehicles.
Craig Dutton, event organiser and founder of mylandroverhasasoul.com, wanted to create an event to bring Land Rover owners together and found an interesting Guinness World Record for the most Land Rovers in a convoy (260 vehicles).
Dutton said: "Just under a year ago, the record was broken and verified and now stands at 348 vehicles. We are well on our way to smashing the existing record, we have already reached our target of 349 pre-registered vehicles."

The world record attempt will take place in the Mid-Vaal area in Gauteng “under controlled conditions” and will incorporate an expo and camping.
“Great things start with small steps, so for this our first year, we will be having a small expo with live entertainment, a 4x4 course and other activities for festival goers,” Dutton said.
“I want to see if Land Rover owners are as fanatical as they say they are.”
