LONDON, England - Jeep’s growing popularity in the UK continues as figures revealed in March 2015 showed its new car registrations rose by 165% in February 2015 against the same period a year earlier.

After three Arctic winters, the English chattering classes seem to have realised that the London nobs had the right idea after all in opting for 4x4's.

The ‘Go Anywhere, Do Anything’ brand is certainly going in the right direction in the sales charts, registering 196 new vehicles in February 2015 against 74in February 2014. Jeep says it's the 18th consecutive month of year-on-year sales growth.

'TOUGH COMPETITION'

Damien Dally, head of Jeep UK, said: “We’ve been telling people that Jeep is back and I’m delighted that the latest figures confirm our claims. We're more than holding our own against some tough competition and are determined to continue.

“The addition of the fantastic new Renegade to the Jeep line-up can only help us to achieve our goal of a really successful year in 2015.”

Available in two and all-wheel drive, and with a range of petrol and diesel engines, the new Jeep Renegade in the UK comes in four trim levels, including the trail-rated Trailhawk version.

The Renegade will arrive in South Africa later in 2015.
