• Porsche reveals new GTS models for Cayenne and Cayenne Coupé
• New 4.0-litre V8 engine produces 338kW/620Nm
• Optional Sport Chrono package improves performance
Porsche has lifted the veil on its new Cayenne GTS. Available in both standard and Coupé bodies, the GTS employs a 4.0-litre V8 engine, replacing the previous model's 3.6-litre bi-turbo V6 engine.
In its latest guise, the Cayenne and Cayenne Coupé GTS's bi-turbo engine produces 338kW and 620Nm. The V8 engine sends power to all four wheels.
If owners specify the optional Sport Chrono package, the GTS models will shoot from 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds and onto a 270km/h top speed.

Performance explained
Porsche says that the new GTS develops 14kW and 20Nm more than the previous model. While the numbers may seem small, they do impact performance significantly. The standard sprint from zero to 100km/h is now 0.6sec faster with the Sport Chrono package, while the top speed has increased by 8km/h.
In addition, Porsche also brought about changes to the eight-speed automatic gearbox and cylinder control system, bringing average fuel consumption down to 11.2-litre/100km.

To match the new Cayenne GTS models' performance, its specially configured sports exhaust systems deliver a highly emotive aural experience, says Porsche. Fitted as standard is an exhaust system designed to produce a rich, sporty sound with a unique character, with tailpipes located on the outer sides of the car's rear. A new development is the high frequency-tuned sports exhaust system, featuring two centrally positioned oval tailpipes.
The new Cayenne GTS models are available to order now. Information on the basic retail price, model specifications and local availability can be obtained at the nearest Porsche Centre.
