Modified cars, insane stunts, huge crowds... the car-spinning scene draws an incredible following in South Africa and one local hopes to be the best of the bunch. He is following in the tyre-shredding footsteps of his father, a top car spinner.
Teen petrolhead Zameer (13) wants to become the best spinner, an official sport, in the country. The 13-year-old has been practising his craft since he was given a car a year ago - the minimum age of competing in car-spinning is 12.
Zameer said: "Spinning cars, you don't actually need a licence. I grew up in a family of cars - my grandfather was a mechanic, my father is a mechanic - so I grew up loving the sport."
