US driver clocked speeding at 172km/h with child in car

New Hampshire state police says a driver recorded speeding at 172km/h on an interstate has been accused of endangering the welfare of a child in the car.

Police say two vehicles appeared to be racing on Interstate 93 on Wednesday (July 4).

Police then stopped 23-year-old Daniel Beauchesne, of Derry, New Hampshire, in Windham. He was charged with reckless driving. No one was hurt during the incident.

It wasn't immediately known if Beauchesne had a lawyer; a phone number couldn't immediately be found.
